The founder of Vancouver’s Commodore Computer Club has several restored computers and small electronics in his personal collection:

Thanks to photographer Steven Lane for taking the above photo which shows just a small part of the collection that includes the following retro, vintage and classic items:
- Red rotary dial western electric telephone from 1965
- Original 1978 Speak and Spell with raised buttons by Texas Instruments
- Commodore 64 with officially licensed JiffyDOS
- Homebrew C64 EasyFlash cartridge
- 1541 and 1581 disk drives with floppy disk notcher
- Gold badge VIC-20 computer
- On the Edge: The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Commodore (book)
- Mega-Cart: The ultimate cartridge for your Commodore VIC-20
It’s amazing that all this awesome retro computer hardware still works after 28+ years. Modern computers don’t last that long. They don’t build them like they use to

So very true…. the land fills are stuffed full of CBMs, Ataris and even IBM PC XTs that if you dug them out and hosed them off I’m sure they’d boot right up (and promptly have a Y2K nervous breakdown).
