This is a classic Commodore 64 TV commercial from 1984 where they compare the prices of the C64 verses the Apple IIe and IBM computers:
I got my first Commodore 64 computer for Christmas back in December 1983 from my grand parents. I still own that machine to this day, complete with the original box. Maybe I’ll bring it to one of the upcoming meetings.
Anyway, I never personally owned an Apple IIe, but I did use them in second grade elementary school. I loved using the program LOGO. I recall my grand parents owning an Apple IIc. It looked like a laptop. Very cool!
As for IBM computers, I got my first IBM compatible in the early 1990′s when I worked for Earthlink and of course I still use IBM compatible computers today in my everyday work life.
