At our upcoming meeting which starts in approximately 15 hours from now, I’ll be bringing one of my Atari 2600 Heavy Sixers to do some game comparisons between the Atari 2600 versions and the Commodore 64 versions.

This should be pretty exciting to compare the games since a lot of games were ported back and forth between the Atari 2600 and the Commodore 64.

Here is just a few of the games I plan on doing comparisons with:

  • Decathlon (Activision)
  • Frogger
  • H.E.R.O.
  • Pitfall
  • Pac-Man
  • River Raid
  • Popeye

So if you’re into games on the Commodore 64 or the Atari 2600 and in the Vancouver, WA or Portland, OR metro area, you don’t want to miss this meeting.

To help me out with the game comparisons is one of the most intense Atari 2600 collectors in the Pacific Northwest and probably in the entire USA, Rick Weis, who is also one of the major players involved with the Portland Retro Gaming Expo that happens every September.

There are a lot more exciting things planned for this meeting, so be sure to come and tell your friends because it will probably be one of the best Commodore Computer Club and Users Group meetings you’ve been to in the Pacific Northwest in a long time.
